How do I generate a printout suitable for my administration?

I have tried printing my lesson plans through the "submit" option, but it does not show the color codes-which I use to indicate the name of the class the lesson represents, and it doesn't include all the text in the printout.   I would like to be able to use this at work, but I need to generate a printable form of the plan.
